🌟 Community Update: Balnagowan House Development 🌟
Dear Community Members,
We would like to update you on the proposed development for Balnagowan House. The initial application, which included the refurbishment of the old house into 4 apartments and the construction of 108 apartments in three 5/6 storey blocks, was rejected by An Bord Pleanála. The principal grounds for rejection were:
- The impact on the protected structure
- Overlooking neighbouring gardens
- The development being out of character with its surroundings
Following this decision, the developer has submitted a revised application, which is currently under consideration by An Bord Pleanála. The decision on this revised application is expected in January 2024.
